Our story began in 1972.
Jean-Paul Llopart, biologist and naturopath, and Rosanne Verlé, beautician, created PHYTAL, a brand of natural cosmetics used in beauty salons. Revolutionary in their approach to beauty, which is inseparable from health, they laid the foundations of Naturo-Esthétique™ and became pioneers of cosmetics combining ecology and naturalness. Over the years, they have developed innovative and effective care products and methods, without synthetic preservatives.

After being integrated into the Jérodia Laboratoires Group – specialist in “beauty and Natural Health” – in 2004, the brand took a new dimension by becoming Phyt’s.


Today, our priority is still to offer bold and effective certified organic products, as well as tailor-made care protocols, respectful of people and their environment and infinitely imbued with technicality.

Success Story: Some major dates: 50 years of passion and innovation

2020 – Ingrid Chauvin, famous actress of the French series “Demain nous appartient” becomes the muse of our brand.
Covid 2020 – Phyt’s participates in the collective effort by making hand sanitiser to stem the shortage.
2018 – Acquisition of a 7000 sq.m facility for logistics
2013 – International development of the Phyt’s brand
2008 – Acquisition of the Bionatural brand
2006 – Phyt’s installs its production unit in old cellars in Caillac, in the south-west of France, near Cahors and opens the Phyt’s Institute in 2007, a real cocoon with refined ecological materials.

2004 – PHYT’S AROMATIC becomes PHYT’S. Phyt’s is bought by Thierry Logre, a passionate biologist trained in herbal medicine and aromatherapy, whose wishes is to make the spirit and the difference of Phyt’s endure.
2002 – PHYT’S AROMATIC participates in the creation of the Cosmébio charter, a private commitment, proof of a commitment to ethics and rigour at the service of our clients.
1990 – The first training centre in Naturo-Esthétique® opens its doors in Alènya.
1982 – PHYT’S AROMATIC natural treatments are offered for sale and packaged in aluminium tube to be distributed to customers, in addition to their use in the beauty salons.
1976 – PHYTAL becomes PHYT’S AROMATIC. These terms refer to Phytotherapy (treat with plant macerations) and aromatherapy (treat with essential oils).
1974 – J. P Llopart files a patent for invention because he managed to package pasty or semi-thick care products in glass ampules.
1972 – Creation of PHYTAL- in southern France in Alénya – a brand of cosmetics of natural origin for beauty salons thanks to the meeting of Jean-Paul Llopart, naturopath and biologist, and Rosanne Verlé, beautician. Revolutionary in its approach to beauty, which he sees as inseparable from health, this Catalan is passionate about plants and the human being so he laid the foundations of “Naturo-Esthétique®”. From the beginning, a few flagship products make the brand famous: the renown Crème Absolue, the Contact + scrub and the C17 purifying serum, and these products are all still available today.


Our founder: Thierry Logre, the dream of a passionate

Since 2004, Phyt’s Laboratories have been run by a man of convictions and expertise: Thierry Logre.
Nature is omni-present in the life of Thierry Logre
From an early age, Thierry Logre fulfilled his passion for the animal kingdom the world of plants by creating a WWF club in Lisieux (Normandy), where he comes from. Also keen on sports, he decided, at a very young age, to combine his two passions by practicing orienteering at a high level. This sport allows him to commune with nature, while fulfilling his taste for competition, performance, effort and excellence. He won the French championship in individual and team orienteering four times, and he participated in various world championships. It is therefore quite natural that Thierry Logre steered his academic career towards biology and science. Thierry is truly passionate and his various professional experiences revolve around the use of natural treasures for the health of human beings while respecting the environment.


Thierry Logre, seduced by Phyt’s philosophy and cosmetics PHYT’S Having become an expert in natural care and beauty products, a connoisseur of “natural medicines”, herbal therapy and aromatherapy, Thierry Logre is fascinated by the history and organic cosmetics of Phyt’s Laboratories, which he bought in 2004. Driven by the fierce desire to continue developing the company in the same frame of mind as its creator, Thierry Logre invests in R&D to design extremely effective cosmetics, which help the physiological revival of the skin, are safe to use and manufactured in environmentally friendly conditions. He also wants each cream, each serum, each lotion to be a real pleasure to use: new textures, addictive scents … according to him, organic cosmetics are above all sensory cosmetics .
For beauticians, Thierry Logre is committed to supporting them in their profession and to provide them with a maximum of tools so they can work in the best possible conditions.
The president of Phyt’s Laboratories also attaches great importance to producing and designing all the group’s cosmetics in France. At a time when French companies massively relocate abroad, he chose to settle in the south-west of France , and to work with local partners!
In 2008, he wanted to give a “spa” dimension to the group, and bought the company Bionatural, specialised in body care and cosmetics with rather scrumptious textures. The range of treatments grows year on year to offer a relaxing experience on a sensory journey.
Excellence and beauty: a quest that continues beyond our borders for Thierry Logre
Since 2013, Thierry Logre has been focusing on the group’s International development. Having always nurtured a special affection for Asian cultures, he works on the export of the Phyt’s range, especially in South Korea, Japan, and China. Asian women love the brand’s creams, serums, and skincare; they recognise our unique know-how, effective formulas and enjoyable application. Phyt’s and BIONATURAL by Phyt’s are ready to soar…
